HB vs TJ! It's sorta long...

Have you ever wanted to know what goes on other schools?

In case you haven’t known I went to Thomas Jefferson for 6th grade. Well there’s a lot of difference between the schools.

H-B mornings: hang around, eat breakfasts, then class
TJ mornings: stay outside, go to the library, or eat break fast (and nothing else!) then go to TA

H-B population: 60-90 students in a grade
TJ population: 100-200 students in a grade (divided into two teams)

H-B TAs: Tuesday- workday/free block Friday: fun
TJ TAs: Monday and Tuesday- Reading and Writing day
Wednesday- Team meetings
Thursday- Math day
Friday- Old movies, Sponge bob, or board games

H-B Classes- A, B, C (and so on) 6-8th grade: 4-5 classes 3-4 electives
TJ Classes- 1st period, 2nd period (and so on) 6-8th grade 4-5 classes 2-3 electives

H-B Free times: FREE BLOCK!!!!!!
TJ Free times: Board Games, Magazines, read

H-B Sports: Ultimate Frisbee, High school sports
TJ Sports: Basketball, soccer, track, diving, swimming, wrestling, tennis, high school

H-B Lunch: eat anytime 11:30-12:30, anywhere
TJ Lunch: eat for 20 min, get called on to go into lunch line, sit only where you are...

H-B Team names: 6th grade team, 7th grade team, etc
TJ Team names: Turbo Tigers, Dolphins, Eagles, Gators (aka g@#-tors), etc.

H-B mottos/ programs: Verbum Sap Sat
TJ mottos/programs: International Baccalaureate [World School]

Key: () = classes must take
H-B Electives: Art, PE, Creative Writing, LEGO Robotics, Rockets, Spanish, German, French, Latin, Orchestra, Band, Chorus, Drama, Photo, Multi- media, etc.
TJ electives: Hilt Program (Round) (PE)
Students opt #1: Round, (PE), and (Language)
Students opt #2: Orchestra or Band, (PE), (Language)

Round is taking different classes every month and you have to take all these classes:
Spanish, French, Home Economy, Art, Computers, and etc.
